“Women have unique biological, psychological, and social needs. They experience various reproductive milestones, from menstruation to menopause, along with conditions like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) , endometriosis, pre menstrual syndrome. Specialized care is crucial to address these areas, alongside contraceptive options, pregnancy, and menopause management. We want women to feel listened to that’s why a female GP is here to provide personalized care. My mission is to support women through these transitions with understanding and compassion, ensuring that each woman feels empowered and equipped to navigate her unique health journey”.

  • “The menopause service has changed my life. I had sought help with my NHS GP and was consistently told I was too young to start HRT, that my symptoms were more likely due to a stressful job and perhaps I should consider treatment for anxiety and depression instead. My family history was ignored and I was told it would be a clinical error to prescribe me HRT.”

  • The menopause service provided me a safer space to talk, to review symptoms and provided me with much better information about the pros and cons of HRT. The updated blood tests also showed it was appropriate to start HRT. Within weeks the majority of my symptoms disappeared. My baseline level of anxiety was vastly improved, and I noted substantially less irritability (so did my husband!). I finally regularly slept through the night and could get back to sleep if I did wake. My energy levels and brain fog improved. My night sweats were eliminated and my menstrual cycle was more regular and substantially less painful. But perhaps most importantly I finally felt joy and started to look forward to things. This had been lacking for over 5 years. Thank you!”
